I have windows 2000, and after using a virus removal tool, some of my programs create errors, including screensavers and EAC,
    what can I do

either undo the virus removal process (i.e. restore the "virus") or re-install windows on a freshly formatted hard-drive. try the fist option first. the second one is a bit drastic :D :D

    hope this helps

You mean actually put the virus back in my system?
lets say I do format the c drive, is there any way to save the settings, and would I have to reinstall all aspi and asapi drivers?
I know, I am PC ignorant...

its possible (though unlikely) that it wasn't actually a virus. it has been known to happen that valid files are shown up as viruses...

if you have a cd urner, just burn all ur important files onto it, e.g. eac directory. taht way all eac settings are saved when u copy them back 2 ur comp after the format.

if a lot of progs are crsahing since the virus,, then it was a real nasty one, or it was an importatn file.

the aspi-drivers etc would have 2 be reinstalled though :(

First of all you should better try just to redownload EAC from a server, if it doesn't work (why?) then there might be problems with ASPI or so...
(Of course if Windows itself is damaged a clean reinstalled would be best)
